Co-creativity and Collaboration in Design

Co-agency was founded in 2009 by Ayako Fukuuchi and myself. The idea was to pull
together the collective creative energies of a select group of designers and provide specialist
co-creativity and metadesign consultancy to SMEs and public sector industries.
Our purpose is to promote the co-creative methods and processes we have developed within design and creative practice as a way to address and answer some of global issues that have emerged in the 21st century.
One of the first projects we undertook was to create a Design Glossary of terms useful to team work and collaboration. This is now on the co-agency website.

> ALISN Artist-led Initiatives Support Network
ALISN is a non-profit collaborative arts organisation. ALISN was founded in 2007 by Iavor Lubomirov and myself.
ALISN is an artist-run international support network for emerging artists which provides exhibition spaces, strategic support, education, creative facilitation and artist-to-artist exchange. The emphasis is not simply on showing art, but on bringing the artists themselves into contact with each other to accomplish development through cross- pollination of ideas, critical peer feedback, transfer of experience and networking. By focusing on artists we help them to develop their communication and professional skills and to successfully grow their practice.
Since 2007 ALISN has enabled nearly 100 emerging artists to exhibit their work. Often we have motivated artists to create new work and a few have gone on to win art prizes and places in important exhibitions.

Brief Biography:
I was born in 1986 in the Highlands of Scotland, and currently live and work in London, UK.
From as young as I can remember, I have always had a deep facination with the world and its questions. Fundamentally, I am a design researcher specialising in understanding and developing new modes of facilitating co-creative practice. However, I also hope to maintain a heathy personal design practice, and have industry experience in the fields of service design, graphics, web design, user experience and R&D. I would say that I’m always looking for novel experiences and new challanges.
I graduated with first class honors from Goldsmiths and hold a Masters by Research (MRes) in Design from the University of London. I am head advisor of the co|agency design thinking consultancy, and have been working towards a PhD in asserting the benefits of co-creation as a means to develop re-directive and eudemonic design practices.
Besides design, I have a love for music and play many different instruments, composing, recording and performing music. I recreationally and theraputically paint under an artist psuedonym, and also have a deep passion for cooking.
